If I Did It
As you may have guessed, this blog is about O.J. Simpson’s book, “If I Did It”. I didn’t want to use an actual photograph of him because I can’t stand the sight of him, so I used this Simpson cartoon shot. I thought that would be funnier anyway, after all, Simpson is a joke.
I personally think that this new book he wrote is a true confession, but I guess you already figured that out. It’s a no-brainer, right ? I don’t see how anyone could spend their money on this book. I wouldn’t even waste my time taking it out from a library !
If he didn’t do it, why don’t they find the real killer ? He should change the title of the book from, “If I Did It” to “How I Got Away With It”. I heard that the proceeds made from selling this book would go to the Goldman family and Simpson’s kids, but why should anyone profit from this blood-money ? Is it healthy for his kids to know that there’s a book out there that explains how their dad killed their mom ? Good reading. Maybe his kids will do a book report on it for school. At least they’ll have all the facts. If he did it.

I agree. Apparently, the Goldman family was awarded rights to the book in court, based on their ongoing efforts to collect from the civil judgment. They changed the title to put the word “if” in tiny letters, so it looks like the title is “I Did It.” Apparently, Nicole Simpson’s family is extremely upset that they did this, in part for the reasons you mentioned, involving his children. I have to agree with Nicole’s family on this one, and I’m quite shocked that the Goldman family would do something so insensitive. I guess the Goldmans did it because they want the world to essentially see that he confessed. It’s hard to say how I’d feel in that situation, and I understand their frustration at the horrifying lack of justice in this case. But on this one, I’m with you. I won’t ever read the book either. I couldn’t post his picture either. He’s repugnant. Great blog!
