I will never forget a friend coming back from her mamogram. Whe told me she had dense breasts and they had to really crank the plate down on them for a good shot. By the time they were done she rolled them up jelly roll style to put them back in her bra. Sometimes it’s good to laugh at a situation. That was one of those times.

I have the same problem. Very dense breasts. So what they do now is they give you an ultrasound which is a little less invasive, but it still does hurt a bit because they run the “camera” thingy very hard against your breasts, especially under your arms where the lymth nodes are. It’s annoying, but you do what you gotta do.

Very true. I think she had fibroid issues so they needed a really good look. Anyway you look at it there is sometimes a little tenderness when they are done. The good news is though that they foudn nothing and it will feel fine in a day or two.

I have very cycstic and dense breast tissue. They actually did a needle biopsy to make sure nothing was growing there. I’m only a 32b, so you can imagine how those freakin’ machines felt when they clamp down. When the nurse said, “ok, hold your breath and don’t move”, I said, “Where am I going to go?”
