Art Sunday 09/28/08: The Highlands of Scotland
In honor of Loretta’s birthday, I am featuring
some original photography of a trip I took to
Scotland over 20 years ago.
These are original photographs that I scanned from film.
They are not digital, so they may not have the clarity
that digital photographs have, but I hope you enjoy them.
Happy Birthday, Loretta !
Loretta, I cannot remember the names of the castles in the
photos below, but if you can, let me know below in the comments. Thanks ! ~ Laurita

This is wonderful, thank you what a lovely birthday present. I think these pictures are taken around Loch Ness. The one just above actually sits on the shore of Loch Ness and is called Castle Urquhart and the one above that is Eilean Donan Castle which overlooks three lochs: Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh.
If I am right about these castles this web site has pictures of both and a bit of a write up. Its interesting because you can see how they have been cleaned up over the last 20 years to make them more appealing to tourists. http://www.armin-grewe.com/holiday/scotland2003summer/loch-ness.htm |
