CreARTive Sunday 04/13/08: Antique Perfume Bottles
Isn’t it amazing how many different kinds of perfume bottles there are in the world ?
It’s endless and they are all so beautiful !
You can find them almost anywhere. I found some really interesting ones in antique shops, flea markets, neighborhood tag sales, and gift shops.
In my collection, I have two that are pink depression glass, Some have chrystals. Some are hand painted. I also have several that are so small, that they can be worn on a chain.
This one of my favorite ones that I have in the bathroom. It comes from Limoges, France.
I bought this atomizer at a local antique shop
Note the beautiful Wedgewood detail on this closeup
This perfume bottle is so small, it can be worn on a chain ! Note the small crystal in the center.
These two cobalt blue bottles can also be worn on a chain
There are no markings on the bottom of this one, but I believe it’s just plain depression glass.

very nice… olfactorily speaking, there is nothing like a sweetly perfumed companion to enhance the delights of intimacy!

Sis, this is a beautiful presentation of gorgeous pieces. I love the ones you’ve collected–the little ones with the loop holes were probably worn on chatelaines and may have held smelling salts.

The interesting thing is that you can find these almost anywhere. None of the ones that I collected were very expensive.
