It happened on December 10, 1991

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

This picture of Justin Hayward was taken out of a program booklet when The Moody Blues did two benefit concerts in New York City in 1991. I’ve been to so many of their concerts in New York City. This concert was at the Paramount Theater and the photo was from the Tour Of The Kingdoms. The big hit at this time was, “Say It With Love.”  It was a benefit concert, and after it had finished, the first ten rows of people (we had what was … Continue reading →

Sharpening The Intuition

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

Do you ever have that “gut” feeling about something and it turned out that you were right ? That you should have listened to it and you were sorry that you didn’t ? Here’s a very interesting article I found by Annette Colby, Ph.D. about how you can work on sharpening what is called the intuition, and learning how to trust it.  – Laurita What Is Intuition? Intuition is the ability to get a sense, understanding, or feeling about something. Your intuition is an aspect of … Continue reading →

Thinking is the best way to travel

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

I have read many articles and books on the phenomenon of Astral Travel. Wouldn’t it be great if you could visit other places almost instantly, and better yet, for free ? Astral Travel is also known as an out-of-body experience. It is the concious separation of the astral body from the physical body. This results in an altered state of conciousness. I have read about several methods or techniques that can be practiced in order to achieve this: 1) meditation; 2) trance; and 3) imagination … Continue reading →

More Interesting Quotes by Albert Einstein

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

Animal Rights “If a man aspires towards a righteous life, his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals.” Community A human being is a part of the whole, called by us, “Universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few … Continue reading →

CreARTive Sunday: Lego Creator

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

My son Matthew, designed and built the Lego logo sign above ! Today, Lego turns a ripe old age of 75. Founded in 1932 by carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen from Billund, Denmark, the company made wooden toys. The trademark name didn’t come until 1934, inspired from the Danish words “leg godt” (play well), and it wasn’t until 1949 that Lego began producing their now-famous interlocking bricks. At this time, the LEGO company only had about six or seven employees. It was also around this … Continue reading →

CreARTive Sunday 07/06/08: Healing Crystals

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

This post I created about crystal healing is for entertainment purposes. Even though there is a scientific and spiritual basis to crystal healing, it is not meant to replace modern medicine. It can, however, work along side it to aid in healing. I use it as a meditational tool. Pictured above are some of the stones and crystals that I have used.    Crystal Healing, sometimes referred to Crystal Therapy or Gem Therapy is the use of quartz crystals, gemstones, and other types of crystals and stones for therapeutic … Continue reading →

The Art of Researching Art

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 5, 2012

I have a friend on Yahoo 360 who spends most of his time working hard. His name is Michael Domoretsky, and he is the head of his own research group, investivating other hidden meanings he found in the artwork of Leonard Da Vinci. He claims it has nothing to do with “The Da Vinci Code” movie.  He just gave his first lecture and presentation recently before a crowd of 300 in Gloucester, MA. He keeps me up to date with his fascintating work and I’m sharing … Continue reading →

The Himalayan Rabbit, also known as the “Himmie”, is docile, and is well known for his tranquil, gentle personality. They are easy to handle and make excellent pets for adults and children alike. They are very loving and are quite small, adding to the pleasure of handling these sweet creatures. They are … Continue reading →

Soupy Sales is gone, and so is my childhood

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

Soupy Sales was a comedian that was part of my childhood  One funny thing I remember about him was that he was able to mix childhood humor with a little adult humor in good taste, so that he was able to pull it off very well.     Sales died Thursday night at Calvary Hospice in the Bronx, New York, said his former manager and longtime friend, Dave Usher. Sales had many health problems and entered the hospice last week, Usher said. At the peak of his fame … Continue reading →

The Four Corners

Laura's Blogs Posted on December 2, 2012 by LauraDecember 2, 2012

Did you know that you can be in four places at once ? Easy. Just go to the Four Corners Monument. It’s about 375 miles from Salt Lake City. It is the only place in the United States where you can be in four states at once. Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico all converge at Four Corners, a man-made geographical oddity that creates a magical place for visitors. If you bend down on all fours, stretch your arms and legs, you will truly be … Continue reading →
