Dr. Wayne Dyer
Dr. Wayne Dyer is one of my favorite inspirational authors. I would call him the American counterpart of Deepak Chopra. You feel just wonderful after reading one of his books or listening to one of his lectures on PBS.
His childhood years were difficult. He spent time in orphanages and foster homes. He obviously had much to overcome. I remember reading somewhere that at least one of his parents was an alcoholic. It’s amazing how people pull through things like this, but they do.
In overcoming his obstacles, he became a motivator to thousands of people who refer to him as the “father of motivation”. When he’s not travelling around the world delivering his uplifting messages, he’s at home writing in Maui. He’s written over 30 books, recorded many audio programs, and has appeared on over 5,200 television and radio shows, including Oprah, The Today Show, The Tonight Show, and PBS channels (13 and 21).
Dr. Wayne Dyer is a psycotherapist and received his doctorate in counseling psychology from Wayne State University and was an associate professor at St. John University in New York. He has taught many levels of education bringing self-empowerment to students from high school through graduate study.
My favorite books by him are, “You’ll See it When You Believe it”, and “Real Magic”, but there are many others.
“You’re the creator of your thought, which means that in some metaphysical way, you’re the creator of your life”. – Dr. Wayne Dyer
