This video is an amazing find. A young college bound Jim Morrison is seen in a public relations Florida State University film. This was long before there was any concept of the legendary figure he would become with The Doors.

Jim Morrison appears in two parts of this film and his voice seems to be over-dubbed with someone else’s in the first part. However, the second part is unmistakably his voice (at least I think so).

The film was taken either in late 1963 or early 1964 and rediscovered in 2005 as an archived but uncatalogued public relations film for Florida State University.

It was discovered when the State Department went through 1,000 films in its archive and probably would have gone unnoticed.

This is a really short film, so if you sneeze, you’ll miss it!
