IMAX Movies
I’m not going to put down IMAX movies. At least, not all of them. I think there have been some creative ones that I have actually been excited to see. Coral Reef was great. I think I remember seeing one about Mount Everest, and another called Mission To Mars. I think I saw Mission To Mars at a planetarium theater. The Polar Express was good. I would say over the years, my favorite IMAX movies have been mostly nature movies. Yesterday, we saw the new Harry Potter movie that just came out a couple of days ago. We saw it because our son wanted to see it.
I’ve got to tell you, I’ve seen some IMAX movies that never should have been made into IMAX. Which ones ? I remember seeing a Rolling Stones concert in IMAX. I’m going back many years, but they had IMAX. Ready ? I REALLY DO NOT NEED TO SEE ALL THE PLAQUE ON KEITH RICHARDS’ TEETH, OK ? I ALREADY KNOW HOW UGLY THESE GUYS ARE, I DON’T NEED TO SEE THEM IN MY FACE !!! SOME OF THEM HAD SOME REALLY BAD ACNE. I THOUGHT THEY HAVE MAKE-UP PEOPLE FOR THIS !!! ONE DRUNK GUY LOOKED RIGHT INTO THE CAMERA SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE HIS PUPIL DILATING…
Anyway, on the internet, I found an article about Bono giving a 3D IMAX concert. 3D one dimension more annoying than regular Bono.
I think IMAX is great, as long as the production team has talent.

I saw 2001 in Cinerama a couple of times. Beats the pants off IMAX if you ask me.
