Sponsored by Eastern Airlines, If You Had Wings was one of the few free attractions in the Magic Kingdom, located in Tomorrowland of Disney World.   It opened on June 5, 1972.  Guest boarded Omnimover cars that showed different destinations that Eastern flew to.   In the days when most rides required the expenditure of prepaid tickets, this attraction was complimentary. Fame was one of my favorite movies growing up. It was funny and serious at the same time. Fame is a 1980 musical film conceived and produced by David De Silva, directed by Alan parker, and written by Christopher Gore.
